Home | Interviews | Live Pictures | Reviews | News | Message Board | Links | Search | Take a seat and grab a pen kids, High On Fire's newest opus pays homage to Lemmy in a big loud pounding fashion, and rightfully so, as Matt Pike has sort of taken on the filling of some very big shoes in metal. High On Fire bring the fury with plodding monstrous epic sounding drums, thundering bass, stinging slashing guitar wounds, like the soundtrack to a viking invasion on speed. You can feel the tendrils of Matt's guitar strings reach out of the speakers and envelop you into a slimy black hole on 'Steps of the Ziggurat/House of Enlil'. If you look up 'heavy' in the dictionary, that song should be in there.
