Weedpecker is a trip across the sea of tranquility. A mellow swirling of rivers of guitar, carrying you away. This impressive 3rd effort blends floating vocals over some serious progressive guitar picking layers and is absolutely dripping with classic Pink Floyd-ish vibes. But it doesn't end there, occasionally the band breaks into a full-on crazy progressive shred session ala Mastodon. Psychedelic doesn't even cover Weedpecker, they've got a sound going for them, a guiding beacon, something refreshing out there in a sea of stoner rock bands.
For fans of: Classic Floyd, Earthless
