Going through a complete catalog of death metal's past, Vicious Circle take a little piece from almost every pioneer to ever grace the genre, and that's not bad at all. It helps add to the sound rather then just cut and paste bands. The best part of it, is the fact the sound doesn't sound dated either. Some of the tracks don't need to be as long as they are, I think some of them were stretched out to get that classic radio formated feel. 3 minute songs aren't always needed, besides some of the drums needed to be tightened up here and there on some of the rolls...this is well crafted death record, and Vicious Circle's 6th release since 1989. Seriously, some great work on this!
