Parabellum's first full length album has finally risen from the swamps of Pensacola, Fl. Apparently, these guys have been kicking around for the last 10 years, they've gone through several lineup changes, and have toured throughout the south, but have yet to go north...which would explain why I'd never heard of them. Blending solid guitar work, (a mix of old-school hardcore and southern rock) with vocals that range from gravel gargling yelling to low, heart wrenching melodic singing, these guys have carved a sound out for themselves. They'd fit nicely in a cd collection with Crowbar and BLS cds...This debut features guest vocals from none other than Soilent Green/Goatwhore screamer Ben Falgoust and Joe Gaston from Mutant Speed/Breccia/Soulcore. Not too shabby. If you dig the slow, depressing, melodic, and heavy stuff, then definately check these guys out.
