Ok, it's been 4 years since I was hit unexpectedly (like a brick) with this album, and so reviewing it now I figure will sound much different than when I originally first heard it (what the fuck!!!??!!! is this a JOKE!!!!???). Therefore, I figured it would be interesting to go back and review this album. Being a diehard 'Tallica fan it'll be hard to be unbiased and critical, (with this album it may not be THAT hard..) but I'll do my best...
This album is noticeably not as heavy as their previous releases (*sob*) and the songs are simple in arrangement (for the most part), the style tends to go back to a more blues/rock sound. Here's a song by song rundown...

"Ain't my Bitch" is ok, kinda upbeat...
"2x4" is alright, nice groove...but one wonders what possesed Het to write a song about whooping ass with a piece of wood
"The House That Jack Built" a cool tune, different from other 'Tallica songs in overall sound and arrangement..why the hell don't they play it live?
"Until It Sleeps" eh...it's ok
"King Nothing" *coENTERSANDMANugh* but fun to play on guitar..
"Hero Of The Day" much better live than on here...video still scares me
"Bleeding Me" fucking killer song, can't say anything bad here..an instant Metalli-classic, truely awesome
"Cure" ehh...
"Poor Twisted Me" hummf...
"Wasting My Hate" Hey! it's fast! and fun to play..but somewhat obnoxious
"Mama Said" pretty cool, but you've kinda gotta forget it's a Metallica song
"Thorn Within" yaaaaawn...
"Ronnie" same with "Mama Said"
"The Outlaw Torn" another amazing, killer, truely jizzworthy slab of 'Tallica...epic, great lyrics...unf
These are my observations, if you can get past the inner sleeve artwork and pictures, which still scare the shit out of me to this day... what the fuck were they thinking???!!!

ReLoad (1997 Elektra)

Album review

Ah, Reload the rest of the songs from the "Load" sessions...

"Fuel" double bass! thank god! *drool* pretty damn cool song
"The Memory Remains" good song, kinda plain but has a sweet melody, guest vocals sound strange and errie
"Devil's Dance" was awesome at Donington '95...what happened? better live and with original guitar arrangements
"The Unforgiven II" liked the first one better..cool video though
"Better Than You" ...yaaawn...
"Slither" strange song...kinda like it..
"Carpe Diem Baby" another weird one...not bad..
"Bad Seed" ehh, it's ok
"Where The Wild Things Are" Definately cool, one of the most expiremental 'Tallica songs done, very different...
"Prince Charming" ..yaaawn
"Low Man's Lyric" very different that's fer sure..
"Attitude" has promise of being heavy...cool chorus riff
"Fixxxer" killer, another classic 'Tallica epic
