Ahhh, I love the smell of death metal in the morning. Malevolent Creation's latest offering is chuggy, brutal, death metal. Some early Sepultura-style riffs, a bit of Nalpalm in the vocals, (wow, you can actually make out some lyrics!) and the obligatory blast beats here and there. There's a major Slayer influence going on in the few solos on the album, (only Malevolent Creation is much closer to actually being in key...ouch). Good stuff indeed, in fact I'd say one of the best, if not the best death metal release of 2002, right up there with Decapitated's "Nihility". Go check it out.
