Well, well well look who's back to bring us all their idea of "Pure American Metal". And I do believe they are America's only real metal band these days, as alot of crap is out there. But as I heard one man say "in a sea of shit you gotta sink to the bottom to find the best". Lamb of God might not be the best band around as you can hear the influences smoldering out of the speakers, but damn this is so sick with slow crushing breakdowns, and solos that lead to nothing but wah wahed out noise. Can I just say double bass? Gotta love the foot work and with Randel's "at attention" vocals you really can't go wrong with "As the Palaces Burn". Heavy, heavy, heavy Slayer/Seps/Pantera and even some Megadeth in there... wonder if that's the reason they got Chris Poland to play guitar on that track. It's way too close to "My Darkest Hour" by Chris's old band. But, it's ok, that's what Americans do best, take stuff and say it's new. My last words on this cd - Sick, Sick, Sick. And if this makes sense you don't need the album, come talk with me, I'll explain it all........I'm not crazy, I'm not crazy, I'm just smarter than you.
