So, about 5 or 6 years ago L.O.A. break up, eventually you get over it...now they are back with a live album? I forgot how sick these guys are. Live albums usually sound like shit and are pointless as far as trying to actually capture the real live performance of a band, but this one...ohh. "River Runs Again - Live 2003" delivers that which is, in essence, L.O.A. It's 1995 all over again, the pit is in your living room. The brutal riffs, heartfelt vocals, and hardcore grooves come across full force. From the opening "River Runs Red", through the devestatingly wretched emotion of an acoustic version of "Let's Pretend", to the closing slam of "Through And Through" L.O.A. kick your ass all over again. I can't think of a song that's missing from the set either. Everything you'd want to hear is packed into 2 cds. 3 Bonus tracks from the members' various side projects are also included, but they are just that, bonus tracks. The live show itself is the real ear candy.
