High On Fire continue to destroy this unfortunate trend with another unbelievably killer album. 'Luminiferious' is the work of old souls, a complete raging audio road rash of epic proportion. The melodies and vocals intertwine forming a pulsing mass of Pike's ongoing fury, desperate angst, and discontentment with the realties around him. Like a Viking call to arms, 'Luminiferious' pounds through your skull with signature HOF sliding riffage. Highlights: 'Carcosa', (you know the riff when you hear it...) 'The Falconist', 'The Cave'.
