Disappearer are another one of those amazing local bands that should be starting to get some attention from the waves Isis have been making. Like fellow atmospheric locals Tides, and Ocean, Disappearer make a song into a fucking sound landscape, a musical trip of sorts. There are ebbs and flows, peaks and deep dark depths. It's mellow, deep, original, and yet so heavy. And it's completely instrumental. I've had a 2 song demo/EP from this three-piece for awhile, so "Rust/Dust" and "Universal Fog" are nothing new, but the first song, "Crownfire", which clocks in at over 12 minutes, is a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to hear more from these guys.
