Hailing from Athens, Greece, Automaton bring the doom across seas and speakers. Dark, brooding, foreboding... dare you enter the sonic chamber of slow decay? Listen as Talos the mythical shining automaton giant of Crete is rising and crashing into your eardrums like waves of frequency fury, then dying down into calm, drowning black waters. 'Giant Of Steel' wouldn't be complete without the perplexing, thought-provoking samples that make it perfectly mind-blowing. The intro to 'Submerged Again' is just creepy...and just keeps repeating throughout, like a horror movie soundtrack that just builds for almost 7 minutes. The final battle plays out in a final version of 'Giant Of Steel' sans samples.
One of the best releases of the year, hands down.
